Liquorice returned to her Vet today. She had developed a lump under the wound from her operation last week. It had not caused my little darling any concern or pain however it was growing larger. Her Vet’s concern was such that he opened her up again.

Fortunately there were no intestinal contents and the lump proved to be a blood clot under her skin that would have been reabsorbed in the fullness of time. It would appear that she had an excessive tissue reaction to the suture material.

Ernst, her Vet, used a whole series of long words but that was my understanding of things when he explained them to me in terms that my poor excuse for a brain could understand.

Liquorice also tore the ligaments in a toe a few days ago so she has had her fair share of attention this week.

And I shall be re-united with her again tomorrow.
